The 28th annual Iowa public transit association bus roadeo sponsored the annual state wide bus roadeo.
About 40 professional bus operators from across the state of Iowa showcased their driving skills through a series of different obstacles.
Drivers competed in two divisions of transit vehicles small and large busses.
Competitors were judged on accuracy, safety procedures and time.
"It's very important because it gives us an opportunity for our drivers to show how good they are at what they do, how safe they are and demonstrate that that's one of the key parts in what we do is safety and reliability,” said Randy Zobrist, Executive Director River Bend Transit.
The first place winner of the small bus and large bus division will qualify to compete at the national level in Fort Worth, Texas, next spring.
